School based activities in government
schools
There will be ample scope and opportunities
for the employees of to participate in
school-based activities in the government
schools you have adopted. This will lead
to employees having direct interaction
with the students, teachers, and the community.
They will see first hand the challenges
of the education system, understand the
problems and take the ownership to work
at solutions that will change the way
learning takes place in a government school.
Assist the Education Activists
Assist the Education Activists with academic
performance assessment through monthly
tests/evaluations at the schools. This
brings in a third party involvement in
the assessment process.
Participate
during community meetings
Participate during community meetings
that involve parents, members of the neighbouring
communities from where children come to
school, and teachers. The idea is to create
a connect with the community, share ideas
with them, discuss their biases and create
a community motivated to support education.
Orient girl children
Orient girl children during special cluster
meetings where tips on health and hygiene
would be given by volunteers. Requirement
here is for women volunteers. The volunteers
would be provided training on the topics
they would address during the health and
hygiene meetings.
