volunteers create world record
Employees of Thane Janata Sahakari Bank created a world record
in getting 64000 people pledge for climate change. The entire
effort, supported by indiavolunteerportal.org, involved training
of employees on climate change, creating champions within the
bank who visited schools ( about 30 000 students from the district
took climate pledge ), SME customers and also invited retail customers
visiting the branch to take a pledge.
Getting 64 000 people take a pledge from a single district in
a span of a week is a world record for any single individual company.
